Rick Williams, one of the founders of the Golden Coast Football League, and the league commissioner this past season as resigned. Williams sited wanting to spend more time with his family as the biggest reason. He will stay involved in the sport as the California State Director of the Far West Football Association Tournament, and the Northern California Division Commissioner.
The new Pacific Coast Football League of Southern California has announced the addition of the Southern California Smash, which played in the PDFA League this past season. The Smash made it to the PDFA Championship game losing to the San Diego Thunder.
The new Central Valley Footbal League has announced its lineup of teams for this coming season which kicks off March 3rd. The lineup:
Central California Crusaders, Selma Ravens, Delano Demons, Bakersfield Predators, Reedley Renegades, Fresno Pirates, Clovis Wolves and Central Valley Outlaws. The league is a member of both the Minor League Football Association and Far West Football Association.
The PDFA and LaBelle Community League West played a all-star game recently and the game wound up in a 16-16 tie. No word on new teams being added for either league for this season at this time.
