Related Organizations
While the Capitol Valley Forensics League focuses on high school speech and debate in the greater Sacramento area, these organizations also serve similar functions. CVFL maintains a list of these organizations to help connect as many students as possible to quality public speaking education.
Sacramento Urban Debate League
SUDL’s mission is to provide policy debate-specific education to Title I schools in the Sacramento area. SUDL primarily works with schools in the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD).

Capitol Region Debate League
CRDL hosts speech and debate competitions for Sacramento-area middle schoolers. CRDL’s debate events use the Middle School Parliamentary Debate Program (MSPDP) format, as outlined on the MSPDP website. CRDL also offers several speech categories.
CRDL hosts in-person competitions at its member schools a few times each semester.
