2022 Speech and Debate Summer Camps

Socail Justice Speech and Debate Camp

July 18th- 22nd. Using current social justice, ally and socially-focused topics, students will learn how to professionally talk about passionate issues, how to find credible sources and apply critical thinking to help engage in complicated, but important, national topics. Many of the debate topics will be inspired by topics likely to appear in the 2022-2023 Debate season, while speech topics will help students in the classroom, in competition and in any public space where such conversations take place. This camp is free through the SJUSD located at Mira Loma High School (4000 Edison Ave, Sacramento Ca, 95821)

Sacramento Urban Debate League Camp

Join the Sacramento Urban Debate League for our 9th annual summer debate camp SUDL provides after-school and summer programs in academic debate. Debate is a rich integrated activity that teaches public speaking skills, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and prepares students for lifelong civic engagement.
